The Treehouse

by Robert Holden

Who and where are the questions I dont wish to answer.

In fact I dont have any answers: just a camera.

I dont seek utopia: there are people who are able to be in harmony with themselves, with the other and with nature.

People who choose to live differently and manage to find fulfillment by carrying an existence where their highest

values are not monetizable.

I want to share a bit of that.

I use a subjective documentary approach; I report on reality but create a personal narrative.

The Treehouse is more than one place. Its not on the map but can be found.

An urban intervention

Sometimes architecture is not about building something.

In the case of The Treehouse in DUMBO, our architecture is in the act of orchestrating monumental vision, scale, and perception.

We see the project as the juxtaposition of two extreme environments.

We hope the installation's brief life in the neighborhood inspires people to reflect and experience their place in the city in new and thoughtful ways.
